Pre-Holiday Day Picnics
We hold picnics before Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day on the Marine Landing Deck beside the Marine Club. Targeting active duty H&S Battalion Marines and civilians, these picnics follow a battalion all hands safety brief and sends everyone off before the holidays with a good time. We provide the free food and beverages to battalion personnel, live DJ entertainment, and a "Great Giftcard Giveaway," coutesty of our commerical sponsors.See photos:

Education & Career Fair
Fairs, scheduled for April and October, are one of our most popular ways to connect with military personnel and their spouses, a perfect venue to showcase your corporate message by sponsoring the refreshments and resource guide, a 24- page guide to all participating schools and companies.See photos:

Oktoberfest
Live music and authentic German-style food transform the outdoor venue into an Oktoberfest. The scent of 'kraut and brats wafts through the air as dancers take to the floor for the Chicken Dance and polkas. Show your brawn with arm-wrestling contests held hourly, and let the little ones win a cupcake in the cupcake walk. New in 2010: the event expands to two days, and we'll have a Kinder Korner with child-friendly activities. We offer a great time with contests and door prizes. Alle wilkommen! See photos:

Prevention and Awareness Events
These important topics are addressed by Marine & Family Services personnel to assist Marines and their families. April's awareness activities include a "Pinwheels For Prevention" campaign, with a "garden" of pinwheels on the field beside the gym. We've recently added a Joint Services Disabilities Awareness Fair in March, in which families throughout the Department of Defense who have disabled family members come together to receive the latest information and resources all in one place.
