From the MCCS Director
On behalf of the dedicated staff at Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Henderson Hall, I want to thank you for utilizing our facilities, taking part in our activities, and allowing us to serve you as you serve your country. It’s our privilege to provide the goods you need and want, the programs that benefit your quality of life, and the facilities that make you proud to be associated with Henderson Hall. Our mission is simple: to support Marine and Marine family readiness and retention. We do that through the dedicated service of our employees in the Marine Corps Exchange (MCX), Semper Fit’s Cpl Terry L. Smith Gymnasium and Zembiec Pool, Marine & Family Programs (MFP), the Java Café, and those in the support branch.
The Marine Corps Exchange has been proudly serving Marines and their families since 1897. Henderson Hall offers an extraordinary MCX, which was renovated in 2014 and expanded to include new departments. We welcomed the NEX Uniform Center as a partner in sales on the third floor, and we added a children's clothing department, in response to customer requests as well as a firearms department. The Java Café continues to add new menu items, including seasonal Starbucks beverages. If you haven’t been here in a while, please do stop by and check us out. I am sure you’ll like what you see.
We always remind our patrons that profits generated at Henderson Hall stay at Henderson Hall to support quality-of-life initiatives for our Marines, Sailors, and their families. Carrying out those quality-of-life programs are the staff at MFP and Semper Fit. MFP programs are located in Bldg. 12 near the Car Wash and in the Battalion Headquarters Building 29; Semper Fit administrative offices are in Bldg. 29, supporting their recreation staffs in the gym and the pool.
I invite you to find out more about MCCS by exploring our website, returning often, and taking part in what we offer. On behalf of the entire staff, I thank you for the opportunity to be of service.
