Prevention & Education Classes/Seminars

All workshops are provided by Behavioral Health at Henderson Hall. The workshops are open to all active duty service members, spouses, family members and retirees. Please contact us at 703-614-7204.


Anger Management Workshop

Learn eight anger control tools before it’s too late! Workshops meet Wednesday mornings at Henderson Hall from 9–11 AM unless otherwise noted. Topics include dealing with stress, empathy, learning to respond differently to situations, identifying negative self talk, communication skills, adjusting expectations, time outs, and forgiveness. Participants must complete eight sessions to receive a certificate of completion. Registration is required and referrals are welcome! Open to all active duty personnel, family members, and retirees.Workshops are available as unit PMEs upon request. Registration is required.

Women's Empowerment Group

This support group offers education on healthy relationships and support for women.
Open to Active Duty Personnel and their Spouse or Intimate Partner.

How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk:
A Healthy Relationships Class

The workshop focuses on how to follow your heart while not minimizing and overlooking problems that are evident early in a relationship. Learn how to identify early on the behaviors that are red flags for future conflict, and emphasizes five crucial areas to explore with a dating partner. Workshops are offered at Henderson Hall and can be arranged at additional installations as Unit PME’s at the convenience of the Command. Registration is required.

Coping With Work and Family Life Stress

12-session evidence-based class designed to teach you how to develop and apply effective coping strategies to deal with stressors. Topics include: identifying stressors, deep breathing and muscle relaxation, assertive communication, changing your self talk, eating right and exercise, and developing a personal stress management plan. Participants must attend all sessions to receive a certificate of completion. Open to all active duty personnel, family members, and retirees. Registration is required.

Infant Massage Class

Infant Massage Class (5 week series)

Whether it’s to soothe a little one to Dreamland, ease a gassy belly, or calm a fussy baby, a gentle massage can work wonders — and the power is in your tender touch.


Of the five senses, touch is the one that’s most developed at birth. Research suggests that infant massage has enormous benefits for helping babies grow and thrive including:
• Easing tummy troubles
• Boosting muscle development
• Helping soothe to sleep


What’s more, giving your baby a massage can help you find your own sense of calm!

Conquer Your Stress! Learn to balance your warrior intensity with holistic stress management!

  • Education: learn about stress and develop a stress management plan

Married & Loving It!®

Married and Loving It® is a full day workshop designed for newly engaged, recently married couples, or long-term established couples. Couples should plan to attend together to get the most out of the topics covered. Class is open to DoD ID card holders and may be offered at different installations and times upon request. Registration is required.
